CVE-2025-64757Public exploit

Local file read via unchecked image path

Published Nov 19, 2025 · Updated Nov 19, 2025

Path traversal in Astro before 5.14.3 allows remote attackers to read host image files through the development server's /_image endpoint. The loadLocalImage() development branch converts the href parameter to a file URL and reads it without restricting the path to the project root. Exploitation requires an exposed astro dev server and a target image readable by its Node.js process; production image handling is not affected.
