Repository listing denial of service via pathspec parsing
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
Improper input validation in Gogs before 0.14.3 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt repository and wiki web listings. Repository view.go and wiki.go pass crafted filenames containing incomplete Git pathspec syntax into commit lookup, then dereference an empty commits result or return its error. Repository or wiki file-creation rights are required; affected pages return HTTP 500 until the malicious file is removed, while CLI access remains available.
