Authenticated file overwrite via filename path traversal
Published Jun 22, 2025 · Updated Jun 23, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in ageerle RuoYi AI 2.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to overwrite server files through /chat/audio. The endpoint passes the original multipart filename to speechToTextTranscriptionsV2, which joins it to the temporary directory and writes it without validating its path or extension. A valid low-privileged session is required; traversal filenames can place attacker-controlled content at writable server paths, enabling file overwrite and code execution when an executable location is writable.
