CVE-2025-64642

Executable tampering via insecure installation permissions

Published Dec 2, 2025 · Updated Dec 2, 2025

Incorrect permissions in Mirion Medical BioDose/NMIS before 23.0 allow local users to modify application executables and libraries. Default access controls on the Windows installation directories grant workstation users write access to code loaded by the application. Exploitation requires access to a client workstation in a deployment that retains the default permissions, enabling code replacement and application disruption.
