CVE-2025-64508Network attack vector

Unauthenticated service interruption via unbounded Brotli decompression

Published Nov 10, 2025 · Updated Nov 10, 2025

Resource exhaustion in Bugsink before 2.0.5 allows remote attackers with a known DSN to interrupt the service using Brotli input. The brotli_generator function passed compressed chunks to brotli.Decompressor.process without an output limit, allowing expansion before event-size maximums applied. Knowledge of a project DSN is required; the documented consequence is memory exhaustion and service interruption, not data access or modification.
