CVE-2025-64503Public exploit

Service interruption via PDF dimension integer overflow

Published Nov 12, 2025 · Updated Nov 13, 2025

Out-of-bounds write in OpenPrinting cups-filters before 1.28.18 allows local users to crash pdftoraster with a crafted PDF. A large MediaBox width overflows the bytesPerLine multiplication, allocates an undersized lineBuf, and lets writePixel8 write past that buffer. Processing must reach the PDF-to-raster filter; the demonstrated result is filter-process termination and print-job interruption, not code execution.
