CVE-2025-64500Network attack vector

Authorization bypass via unprefixed PATH_INFO parsing

Published Nov 12, 2025 · Updated Nov 13, 2025

Authorization bypass in affected Symfony HttpFoundation releases allows remote attackers to evade path-prefix access rules. The Request::preparePathInfo method subtracts the detected base URL from the request URI and previously returned a nonempty remainder without adding a leading slash. This is reachable only when an application uses the resulting noncanonical path in an access rule that assumes slash-prefixed paths, exposing only resources protected by that rule.
