Memory disclosure or code execution via malformed VI
Published Dec 18, 2025 · Updated Dec 18, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in NI LabVIEW 2025 Q3 and earlier allows attackers to disclose memory or execute code through a crafted VI file. LVResFile::FindRsrcListEntry() reads beyond the resource-list buffer while locating an entry in corrupted VI data. A user must open the crafted VI; the resulting read exposes process memory and can divert execution within the user's LabVIEW process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <=22.3.6
- Affected versionversion=23.1.0 <=23.3.7
- Affected versionversion=24.1.0 <=24.3.4
