CVE-2025-64462

Code execution via malformed VI resource parsing

Published Dec 18, 2025 · Updated Dec 18, 2025

Out-of-bounds read in NI LabVIEW 25.3.2 and earlier allows local users to disclose memory or execute code through a crafted VI file. LVResFile::RGetMemFileHandle() reads beyond a memory boundary while parsing corrupted VI resource data; NI has not disclosed the unchecked field or calculation. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious VI, after which code runs with that user's privileges.
