CVE-2025-64457

Local privilege escalation via TOCTOU race

Published Nov 10, 2025 · Updated Nov 10, 2025

TOCTOU race condition in JetBrains dotTrace before 2025.2.5 allows local users to elevate privileges during profiling operations. JetBrains identifies the weakness as CWE-367 but has not published the affected component, checked resource, or state-changing operation that loses the race. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and winning a timing race; the vendor assessment bounds impact to low confidentiality and integrity loss without availability loss.
