Cross-site scripting in HumHub before 1.17.4 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser through Meta-Search previews. The metaSearchProvider.php view renders each result's getTitle() and getDescription() values without HTML encoding, allowing crafted result metadata to become markup. The attack requires a user to view a poisoned search preview; the script runs in the HumHub origin and can read or alter data available to that user's session.
