Cross-tenant data access via wrong permission scope
Published Nov 7, 2025 · Updated Nov 7, 2025
Improper authorization in ZITADEL 4.0.0-rc.1 through 4.6.2 allows remote authenticated users to alter other organizations' data. The Organization V2Beta service checks permissions against the caller's organization instead of the requested target organization. An administrator role in one organization is required; exploitation permits reading, changing, or deleting organization names, domains, metadata, or the organization itself, but not its users, projects, or applications.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=>= 1.80.0-v2.20.0.20250414095945-f365cee73242, < 1.80.0-v2.20.0.20251105083648-8dcfff97ed52
