Crash via out-of-bounds CSV import write
Published Nov 12, 2025 · Updated Nov 12, 2025
Out-of-bounds writing in Apache OpenOffice 4.1.15 and earlier allows remote attackers to crash the application via a crafted CSV document. Apache has disclosed neither the CSV parser locus nor the malformed field condition that causes the write beyond its intended memory bounds. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted document; the documented consequence is an application crash or corruption of other memory areas.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
