Unauthenticated configuration changes via MAC-addressed UDP frames
Published Oct 31, 2025 · Updated Oct 31, 2025
Improper input validation in CIRCUTOR TCPRS1+ 1.0.14 allows remote attackers to alter device configuration through UDP frames. The UDP configuration service treats the device MAC address as sufficient authorization and applies supplied initial-configuration values without authentication. Network access to the service and knowledge of the MAC address are sufficient to change gateway settings and interrupt communications.
