Contributor-level browser script execution via stored payloads
Published Oct 31, 2025 · Updated Oct 31, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Groundhogg 4.2.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in visitors' browsers. Published sources attribute the flaw to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping but do not identify the affected field or code path. Contributor-level access is required, and the payload runs when another user visits an affected page, exposing that browser session to script actions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
