Viewer-side script execution via unescaped playlist names
Published Nov 7, 2025 · Updated Nov 7, 2025
Stored XSS in MacWarrior ClipBucket V5 before 5.5.2-#147 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in viewers' browsers. Manage Playlists stores HTML or JavaScript supplied in the Playlist Name field, then renders the name without output encoding on playlist detail and listing pages. A normal user account can plant the payload; execution requires a viewer, including an administrator, to open an affected playlist page.
