CVE-2025-64333Network attack vector

Remote crash via oversized logged Content-Type

Published Nov 26, 2025 · Updated Nov 28, 2025

Stack overflow in Suricata 7.x before 7.0.13 and 8.x before 8.0.2 allows remote attackers to crash the engine via HTTP traffic. The EVE HTTP logger processes an oversized Content-Type value during event logging until available stack space is exhausted. The target must inspect attacker-controlled HTTP traffic with the affected field logged; successful exploitation interrupts network monitoring by terminating the process.
