Unauthorized index updates via missing CSRF validation
Published Oct 29, 2025 · Updated Oct 29, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in Premmerce Product Search for WooCommerce 2.2.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to trigger index updates. The update-indexes action accepts a state-changing request without effective anti-CSRF validation, so a forged request runs in the victim’s session. Exploitation requires a privileged user to visit or submit attacker-controlled content, and the documented consequence is limited to unwanted index changes.
