Information disclosure via unauthenticated usage endpoint
Published Nov 6, 2025 · Updated Nov 6, 2025
Missing authorization in Treeverse lakeFS before 1.71.0 allows remote attackers to read aggregate API usage counts over HTTP. GetUsageReportSummary in pkg/api/controller.go returned installation usage counters without calling auth.GetUser, and the patch adds that check. Any network client that can reach the route can infer service activity or uptime, but no credentials, repository content, write access, or service interruption is exposed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
