Protected-data disclosure via polymorphic directive bypass
Published Nov 6, 2025 · Updated Nov 6, 2025
Authentication bypass in Apollo Router Core before 1.61.12 and 2.0.0-alpha.0 through 2.8.1-rc.0 lets remote attackers read protected data. The authorization plugin checks whether interface implementors share requirements but fails to verify those requirements against the request context. Exposure requires inconsistent @authenticated, @requiresScopes, or @policy directives on polymorphic types or fields.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
