CVE-2025-64169Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Manager crash via unchecked NULL MD5 pointer

Published Nov 21, 2025 · Updated Nov 21, 2025

Denial of service in Wazuh Manager before 4.12.0 allows remote authenticated users to crash analysisd via a crafted agent message. In fim_alert, syscheck.c dereferences oldsum->md5 without checking for NULL after a malformed Wazuh database record initializes that field incorrectly. Exploitation requires control of an enrolled agent or open enrollment plus a compromised database; regular database flows cannot create the required record.
