Credential theft via unchecked connection endpoint
Published Oct 29, 2025 · Updated Oct 29, 2025
Missing authorization in Jenkins Publish to Bitbucket Plugin 0.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to capture stored credentials. The HTTP endpoint accepts a caller-supplied URL and credentials ID without a permission check, then authenticates to that URL with the selected Jenkins credential. Overall/Read permission and a credential ID obtained through another method are required, and the attacker-controlled server receives the credential.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
