CVE-2025-64111Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated command execution via symlinked repository update

Published Feb 6, 2026 · Updated Feb 6, 2026

Remote code execution in Gogs 0.13.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via the repository contents API. The API route calls UpdateRepoFile without matching its .git-path checks, so a repository symlink lets an update overwrite .git/config with an attacker-controlled sshCommand. A valid API token and repository write access are required; the next Git operation runs the configured command with the Gogs service account's privileges.
