Authentication bypass via predictable API tokens
Published Jan 22, 2026 · Updated Jan 22, 2026
Authentication bypass in NervesHub before 2.3.0 allows remote attackers to access user accounts by brute-forcing predictable API tokens. The user API token generator embedded user-identifiable components in tokens and relied on a predictable, non-cryptographic format. Exploitation requires network access and knowledge of the approximate token-creation time; a guessed token grants the account and API privileges assigned to its owner.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
