Authenticated command execution via NTP configuration
Published Jan 9, 2026 · Updated Jan 9, 2026
OS command injection in Zenitel TCIS-3+ before 9.2.3.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through NTP settings. The legacy web interface's NTP configuration handling fails to neutralize shell metacharacters before invoking an operating-system command. Administrative access to the device web interface is required; successful exploitation runs commands in the appliance firmware context.
