Unauthenticated account creation via unchecked registration endpoint
Published Nov 25, 2025 · Updated Nov 25, 2025
Broken access control in Primakon Pi Portal 1.0.18 allows remote attackers to create local accounts through its registration API. The /api/v2/user/register endpoint accepts unauthenticated POST requests and writes new users to the local database without an authorization check. The same endpoint reveals whether accounts already exist; further privilege escalation requires chaining with another flaw.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
