Authenticated account takeover via unchecked impersonation request
Published Nov 25, 2025 · Updated Nov 26, 2025
Broken access control in Primakon Pi Portal 1.0.18 allows remote authenticated users to impersonate arbitrary users through its API. The /api/V2/pp_udfv_admin endpoint accepts a direct PATCH request containing a target email address without checking the caller's administrative privilege, target password, or administrative token. Any low-privileged account is sufficient to switch its session to another user, including an application Administrator, granting that account's access.
