Privilege escalation via unchecked administrative API requests
Published Nov 25, 2025 · Updated Nov 26, 2025
Improper authorization in Primakon Pi Portal 1.0.18 allows remote authenticated users to access administrative functions via direct API requests. Multiple administrative API endpoints fail to enforce function-level authorization, allowing low-privileged accounts to bypass restrictions imposed only by the user interface. A standard account and network access to the portal are sufficient to alter or delete arbitrary accounts, change passwords, retrieve organizational documents, and elevate privileges.
