Script execution via unescaped upload filename
Published Dec 5, 2025 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Reflected XSS in the Fanvil X210 V2 2.12.20 web UI allows remote attackers to run JavaScript through a crafted upload filename. The upload CGI reflects special characters from the filename into its response without neutralization, allowing an image error handler to execute. Network access to the web interface and user interaction are required; the CNA reports denial of service and command execution but does not disclose those impact chains.
