Authenticated router crash via unchecked service_type copy
Published Jun 21, 2025 · Updated Jun 23, 2025
Buffer overflow in TOTOLINK N300RH Firmware 6.1c.1390_B20191101 allows remote authenticated users to crash the router via an HTTP POST. The /boafrm/formPortFw handler copies the service_type parameter without checking its length, overflowing the destination buffer. A valid management session is required; exploitation interrupts routing service, and the published proof of concept demonstrates denial of service only.
