Database password disclosure via docker command logging
Published Jul 10, 2025 · Updated Jul 11, 2025
Cleartext credential logging in Broadcom Brocade SANnav before 2.4.0a allows local users to read database passwords from host audit logs. When the daily data dump collector invokes docker exec, command logging records the database password in clear text in the host VM audit log. Host server administrator privileges are required to view the log; SANnav administrators and SANnav users cannot access it.
