Device crash via oversized guestSsid value
Published Nov 10, 2025 · Updated Nov 10, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC18 15.03.05.05_multi allows remote attackers to crash the device through a crafted guest SSID. The /goform/WifiGuestSet handler accepts an oversized guestSsid value into stack-backed storage without enforcing the destination capacity. CISA assesses adjacent, unauthenticated reachability, while NVD assesses network access with low privileges; the demonstrated consequence is a device crash.
