CVE-2025-63811Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Service interruption via unbounded JWE decompression

Published Nov 12, 2025 · Updated Nov 13, 2025

Uncontrolled resource consumption in dvsekhvalnov jose2go before 1.7.0 allows remote attackers to interrupt services via a compressed JWE token. Decode and DecodeBytes pass attacker-controlled DEFLATE output to Deflate.Decompress, whose unbounded io.ReadAll expands the payload into memory. Any network-facing application that decrypts compressed JWE tokens is exposed without authentication or user interaction, and processing a high-ratio token consumes enough memory and CPU to deny service.
