Authenticated arbitrary file deletion via path traversal
Published Jun 28, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Path traversal in BeeTeam368 Extensions Pro 2.3.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete files outside its intended directory. The handle_live_fn() function fails to confine an attacker-controlled file path to the intended directory before performing file operations. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and deletion of wp-config.php can enable a site takeover by forcing WordPress reconfiguration.
