Stored XSS via unescaped display-name fallback
Published Apr 13, 2026 · Updated Apr 13, 2026
Stored XSS in Grokability Snipe-IT 8.3.0 through 8.3.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through profile names. When Display Name is unset, the display_name fallback composes attacker-controlled first and last names, and affected views render that value without output escaping. Login-only access is sufficient; execution occurs in a permitted viewer's browser when report, profile, or history pages display the modified account.
