Authenticated PHP configuration modification via unchecked POST
Published Dec 9, 2025 · Updated Dec 11, 2025
Improper access control in Xinhu Rainrock RockOA 2.7.0 allows remote authenticated users to modify PHP configuration files. The phpinisaveAction method accepts configuration values and a PHP.ini path from a POST request, then writes them with file_put_contents without a sufficient authorization check. A valid session and knowledge of the PHP.ini path are required, and successful exploitation alters PHP security and resource settings.
