Authenticated SQL injection via settings update query
Published Nov 14, 2025 · Updated Nov 14, 2025
SQL injection in SVX Portal 2.7A allows remote authenticated users to modify database data through a crafted settings POST request. The admin/update_setings.php endpoint interpolates escaped POST keys and values into UPDATE statements instead of using parameterized queries or an allowlist. Administrative access to the endpoint is required; successful exploitation can alter Settings records and, within database-user permissions, read or modify other tables.
