Privilege escalation in OvaTheme Event List 2.0.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to obtain Administrator capabilities. The el_update_profile() function applies user-supplied profile capability changes without verifying that the account is authorized to assign them. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, after which the account can exercise all WordPress administrator privileges.
