Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted Python builtins
Published Nov 18, 2025 · Updated Nov 18, 2025
Command injection in ReadingPlus.AI MCP Data Science Server 0.1.6 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary Python code through run_script. ScriptRunner.safe_eval passes the submitted script to Python exec with a globals dictionary that omits builtins, so Python restores unrestricted built-in functions including import and open. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the injected code runs with the server process's filesystem and command-execution permissions.
