Reflected XSS via unencoded router path fragments
Published Nov 6, 2025 · Updated Nov 6, 2025
Reflected XSS in CMSimple_XH 1.8.0 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in a victim's browser through a crafted request. The front router in index.php copies attacker-controlled URI path fragments into form action and anchor href attributes without HTML attribute encoding. A victim must open the crafted URL; execution remains within the vulnerable site's browser origin and exposes client-accessible page data, cookies, and actions.
