Remote router crash via unbounded SSID decoding
Published Oct 31, 2025 · Updated Oct 31, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in TOTOLINK LR350 firmware 9.3.5u.6369_B20220309 allows remote attackers to crash the router via a crafted SSID request. The sub_42396C function passes the ssid value to urldecode, which writes decoded bytes without bounding them to its 128-byte stack buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required; an oversized network request overwrites adjacent stack data and persistently interrupts router service.
