Router crash via unbounded ssid5g URL decoding
Published Oct 31, 2025 · Updated Oct 31, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in TOTOLINK A7000R 9.1.0u.6115_B20201022 allows remote attackers to crash the router via crafted ssid5g input. The request handler passes ssid5g to urldecode, which writes decoded bytes into a fixed stack buffer without limiting the input length. No authentication or user interaction is required; an oversized value overwrites adjacent stack data or the return address and persistently interrupts router services.
