Unauthenticated router crash via unbounded SSID decoding
Published Oct 31, 2025 · Updated Oct 31, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Totolink A7000R firmware 9.1.0u.6115_B20201022 allows remote attackers to crash the router. The sub_4222E0 function passes the unbounded ssid5g value from websGetVar to urldecode, which writes decoded bytes into a 128-byte stack buffer. A crafted request with wifiOff5g set to 0 reaches the overflow without authentication and persistently interrupts router services.
