Persistent service crash via unbounded time parsing
Published Nov 10, 2025 · Updated Nov 18, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AX-1803 1.0.0.1 allows remote attackers to crash the router via a crafted time parameter. SetSysTimeCfg passes the unbounded time value to _isoc99_sscanf with unconstrained string conversions into fixed-size stack buffers. No authentication or user interaction is required; a malformed request can leave routing services persistently unavailable.
