Update-package disclosure via unauthenticated download endpoint
Published Nov 24, 2025 · Updated Nov 24, 2025
Missing authentication in Xtooltech Xtool AnyScan Android Application 4.40.40 allows remote attackers to download official update packages. The server-side update endpoint returns package archives without checking credentials or another authorization token. Internet reachability to the endpoint is sufficient; this flaw exposes vendor-supplied package contents but does not itself execute code on a device.
