Authenticated command execution via template tag injection
Published Jun 20, 2025 · Updated Jun 20, 2025
Command injection in DedeCMS 5.7.0 through 5.7.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through the notes parameter. The co_get_corule.php collection-rule endpoint treats notes as a DedeCMS template string, and crafted tag syntax reaches PHP's system function through the dedetag.class.php parser. Administrative backend access and two requests with the crafted value are required; successful exploitation runs arbitrary commands in the web server's security context.
