CVE-2025-63292Public exploit

Adjacent IMSI disclosure via plaintext EAP identity

Published Nov 17, 2025 · Updated Nov 18, 2025

Information disclosure in affected Freebox firmware allows physically proximate attackers to capture subscriber IMSIs over Wi-Fi. The FreeWifi_secure EAP-SIM flow sends the full Network Access Identifier, containing the raw IMSI, in an unencrypted EAP-Response/Identity before establishing a protected tunnel. Passive monitoring within Wi-Fi range during device association is sufficient, enabling subscriber correlation, device tracking, and long-term presence monitoring without modifying traffic.
