Administrative access via cross-device JWT reuse
Published Nov 19, 2025 · Updated Nov 19, 2025
Authentication bypass in Itel DAB Encoder build 25aec8d allows remote attackers to gain administrative access with a JWT from another device. The authentication layer accepts a JWT issued by any device running the same firmware without binding the token to its originating device, credentials, or network. Exploitation requires possession of a valid JWT from one IDEnc device; reusing it against another device grants administrative control.
