CVE-2025-63220Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated root command execution via unsigned firmware script

Published Nov 19, 2025 · Updated Nov 20, 2025

Remote code execution in Sound4 FIRST firmware 2.33 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root via a firmware upload. The web updater trusts a package whose MD5 manifest can be recalculated, then executes its attacker-modified manual.sh without secure signature validation. Access to the web-based management interface is required; an administrator can gain a root shell, persist on the appliance, and alter its firmware.
