Administrative takeover via cross-device JWT replay
Published Nov 18, 2025 · Updated Nov 19, 2025
Authentication bypass in Itel ID MUX build c041640a allows remote attackers to gain administrative access via a replayed JWT. The web interface accepts a JWT issued by another device because session handling does not bind token scope or audience to the target appliance. Possession of a valid token from any device running the same firmware is sufficient to change settings and control a different device despite separate passwords and networks.
